About
Brennan Phillips is a sophomore left handed pitcher at Oklahoma State University. He played baseball at Owasso high school in Oklahoma.
Brennan grew up as a young kid going to the baseball field with his big brother and it all started there as he developed a love for the game. Around the age of 9 years old Brennan made a commitment to baseball, started to train and established the dream of one day playing in the MLB.
The dream has never changed and along the way Brennan has seen much success with the help of many people including his dad who he says is the person that has guided him through his baseball career and helped him navigate life along the way.
His family, Brent and Lori Phillips and three siblings, Breanna, Tyler and Alli have been Brennan’s biggest supporters and fans throughout his baseball career.
By many Brennan is known as a quiet, humble, nice, authentic person… but when it comes to baseball his work ethic is unmatched and his competitive drive along with being a dependable teammate makes him one of the top pitchers in the country at the collegiate level.
HIGH SCHOOL:
- 8-1 with a 1.04 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 67 innings as a senior
- Hit .336 with seven home runs and 44 RBIs
- Led OHS to Class 6A state championship
- Named to 2021 USA Baseball 18U National Team
- Went 9-1 with a 0.89 ERA as a junior
- Racked up 144 strikeouts in 63 innings
- Tulsa World Oklahoma Player of the Year as both a junior and senior
ON THE FIELD
2023:
- Made 10 appearances, six as a starter
- Earned first win of career vs. Loyola Marymount
- Started semifinal elimination game vs. Texas Tech at the Big 12 Championship Earned the win, struck out a career-high seven batters, allowed only one run on four hits
- Named to the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team
OFF THE FIELD
- Majoring in finance
- Favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw
- Favorite show is Suits
- He loves baseball, animals, video games, golfing, fishing, food and spending quality time with his girlfriend
